Additional Belkin F5D7010 Wireless 54 Mbps Notebook Card Information

Belkin networking presents its latest innovation, the 802.11g Wireless Notebook Network Card. The Card works as an ideal standalone to give you instant networking capabilities. It features breakthrough 802.11g technology that makes wireless file transfers and downloads faster than ever before. 802.11g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. The Card sets up with the ease and the simplicity of Plug-and-Play technology on any laptop equipped with a 32-bit CardBus slot. It slides into the 32-bit CardBus slot to enable a wirelessconnection to your network. 802.11g technology is the easiest wireless network to implement. The Card uses the wireless 802.11g 2.4GHz standard to offer you the widest working range-up to 1800 feet-and greater interoperability in mixed networking environments. 802.11g technology is backward-compatible with the 802.11b Wi-Fi networking standard, so it allows you to implement faster wireless technologies in combination with existing 802.11b Wi-Fi networks.

What Customers Say About Belkin F5D7010 Wireless 54 Mbps Notebook Card:

I recently had to go on a working trip and the connection in hot-spots and easy of use was amazing;Price was great too. I have an older computer and this wireless card works woderfully well. I was looking to invest in a new system; however, this item has allowed me the opportunity to have the time to research more before I reinvest.

They just don't exist. But I don't know whether this version is still sold. For this Belkin Notebook card (F5D7010 version 8) there aren't any drivers for Mac OS included and neither is is possible to download them anywhere. If you are using a Mac, version 3 of this card is the only possible solution.

Works everywhere right away. I feel like I got a great bargain for the price. All in all I'm pleased and would buy from Belkin again. Great product and super easy to set up. It's pretty much a plug and play. I was worried that it may stick out of the laptop a little far and one of my dogs would snap it off or something but it's pretty compact.

The chipset for this card is not detected by OS X and I found no drivers that would work on my Intel Tiger. Hope this helps you avoid the same mistake. The card I received is model F5D7010 v7. Belkin couldn't even confim which chipset is in the different versions. In my experience, model number refers to the hardware and the vesion refers to the software or drivers. I have had very good experiences wih other Belkin products which was one reason I bought this card. This card has 7 or 8 versions with different CHIPSETS. It had a slightly different shape than the picture and a red and grey label instead of the yellow and red.

It is no more than a piece of junk now. As soon as the computer detects the card.the computer hangs forever. I wanted a good network card for updating my Dell 630M running Vista Ultimate version on it. However, I had to purchase Addonics expresscard cardbus adapter for connecting the Belkin wireless G card. Despite 3 months of struggle trying to fix it, none of my attempts worked.
